I designed, built and play this 60 string Celtic Zither. It is made with sacred magical woods, including birch, tulipwood, and maple, with a vermillion soundboard, and abalone shell inlay work. The instrument design incorporates Pythagorean harmonics and a unique tuning system.

My primary musical influence is from my grandfather, Harry Brown, who was a multi-instrumental Celtic musician. I also acknowledge and enjoy the music of zitherists Andrew Cronshaw and Brian Dewan, and the psaltery playing of Appalachian folk singer Betty Smith.
The swan ... excels all others in the sweetness of its music .... Men say that in the country of the Hyperboreans it comes up close by being attracted by the sound of a zither played loudly along the shore.

Geoffrey of Monmouth, Vita Merlini
